CAMH LIBRARY CATALOGUE

Accessing E-Resources While Working Remotely

Note to remote staff: You must use a Citrix Remote Access internet browser to view online e-resources (ebooks, ejournals, and research databases) if you are working off site. This applies to staff working from a CAMH-issued laptop off site as well.

As a CAMH staff member, you are not required to have a library borrower account to view online e-resources. They can also be viewed on Insite.

Please note online e-resources are only accessible to CAMH staff and affiliated students.

Starting a Library Account

A library borrower account is only required if you wish to borrow physical items (i.e. print books).

CAMH staff and affiliated students must opt into a library borrower account if they wish to start borrowing physical items. Email us at library@camh.ca with your employee ID number and office address (if applicable) in the body of your message. We will reply to you within one business day.

Community members and external researchers can register for a borrower account by visiting our library space in person. To be eligible for an account, we ask that you provide your contact information and a piece of ID or documentation with your name on it.

Want to Borrow an Item?

After starting your library borrower account you can obtain items by visiting the library and browsing our collection in person. CAMH personnel can request to have items sent to their office by interoffice mail.

You can place a hold on a circulating item (i.e. a print book). Log into your library account, search for your item, then click 'Place Hold' when you are viewing the item's record screen. Wait for a library staff member to contact you and confirm it is available for pickup. Items will be held for two weeks.

Returning Your Borrowed Items

If you currently have any borrowed items from the library, you can return them in one of the following ways:

-Deposit the items at our library drop box at 1025 Queen Street West, Main Floor. The drop box slot is located to the far side of the circulation desk.

-CAMH staff can send the items through interoffice mail addressed to CAMH Library, 1025 Queen Street West
